Two students from CINDOR – Centro de Formação Profissional da Indústria de Ourivesaria e Relojoaria (Professional Training Centre for the Jewellery and Watchmaking Industry) were chosen to take part in the second edition of Escola TOUS de Joalharia e Ofícios Artesanais (TOUS School of Jewellery and Craftsmanship), a training project promoted by the international brand, at its headquarters in Manresa (Barcelona, Spain).

Through this program, the jewellery brand establishes partnerships with selected schools in Spain, Mexico and now Portugal. It opens its doors so that students can not only strengthen their knowledge, but also apply it in the work context, thus encouraging their integration into the labour market. More than 15% of the students who participated in the first edition were directly employed in TOUS workshops, external brand workshops or other workshops specialised in restoring parts.

The director of CINDOR, Eunice Neves, says “This collaboration represents an important acknowledgement of quality not only for CINDOR as a training and qualification centre, but also for Portugal as a producer country in jewellery. This is an opportunity for our students to gain international experience and deepen their knowledge in the context of a prestigious multinational brand. At CINDOR we have been strengthening collaborations and exchanges of experiences with schools in other countries and our reputation for training and production across borders is well known”.
