On the next congress of the International Association of Colored Gemstones, that will be held in Bangkok from October 12 to 15, Rui Galopin de Carvalho joins the panel “Challenges in Responsible Supply of Precious Stones”. The panel is moderated by Jean Claude Michelou and composed of Thanong Leelawatanasu, Nawal Ait-Hocine, Tony Brooke, Stephan Reif and Warren Boyd.

“My contribution will be referring to the precious corals, talking about misinformation issues (eg. Confusion between precious and endangered corals) and focusing on the eight species considered precious corals by CIBJO” says the portuguese gemologist on his Facebook page.
