The design of the Ipanema collection “was created with the potential to enhance the natural beauty of each woman, giving her the power of the blue of the sea and the sophistication of gold”.
The 22 pieces in the Ipanema collection are part of Machado Jewellery’s extensive history in the national sector.
The origins of this Porto house date back to 1880 with the opening of a jewellery shop in Rua do Loureiro, by the merchant José Pinto da Cunha, close to the current S. Bento Station, where in its place was the Monastery of São Bento de Avé-Maria.
A founding member of the Fondation de la Haute Horlogerie (FHH), Machado Jewellery continued its policy of expansion and opened its first shop in Lisbon, on Avenida da Liberdade, in 2008, a “step in the strategy of modernisation and growth that has been underway”.
