Having four different spaces in Lisbon, Gilles Fine Jewellery presents itself as one of the main references in the capital area. José and Pedro Gil complement each other so that together they can try to maintain the company at an excellent level. It is not always easy to maintain a good work-life balance, but they guarantee that “it’s also not difficult”.

What innovations do you highlight, both when it comes to the products and your services?

JG: One of the areas that we really have to develop is our online platform. We have a good website, but it is still not working as we would like it to. And we have to always pay attention to the market.

Everything is now restarting and as we always do it, we have been to events in Italy and Switzerland, always looking for excellence at all levels from client service to the pieces. Just now, a supplier showed us one of the last designs from Giovanni Ferraris, a necklace with a centre made of diamonds. It is fascinating. I had it evaluated, because it is one of a kind and costs about 12,500 euros. We have a great propensity for these types of pieces.
