Since 2012, Piaget has celebrated the Chinese New Year as an important occasion to gather our society in moments of shared joy. In homage to these celebrations of Chinese culture, the limited edition Altiplano features the animal of the year, according to Chinese astrology, enamelled in Grand Feu cloisonné.
After eleven previous enamelled watch creations, this year displays the final zodiac sign in the series, celebrating the year of the rabbit, an animal that represents hope and longevity.
Created by the enameller Anita Porchet (who has worked with Piaget since 2006) and featuring her flawless craftsmanship, these 38 limited-edition Altiplano pieces depict two luminous rabbits, encased in a 38mm, 18 carat white gold box, set with 78 brilliant-cut diamonds. Propelled by the homemade, ultra-thin 430p hand-wound movement, the exclusive Altiplano is mounted on a black alligator skin leather strap.
