On October 10, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM, the Museu Medeiros e Almeida hosted Tempo Futuro, the first fair dedicated to independent watchmaking in Portugal.

The event brought together creators, microbrands, collectors, and the public, offering a unique opportunity for direct engagement with contemporary Portuguese watchmaking. Visitors were able to purchase watches on display, speak with master watchmakers, and learn about the creative processes behind these emerging brands.

Exhibitors included Bruno Moreira, Contar (Eduardo Martins), Exímio (João Batalha), Febres, Followay, Isotope, and the Museu do Relógio (Eugénio Tavares d’Almeida). At 5:30 PM, the book “History and Evolution of Watchmaking in the 17th and 18th Centuries” by Sílvio Pereira was launched, highlighting historical figures such as Le Roy, Berthoud, Lepine, and Breguet.

From 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM, the panel “Education and Independent Watchmaking” took place, featuring Dann Phimphrachanh — former Casa Pia student and AHCI member — and Paulo Anastácio, director of the watchmaking course at Casa Pia, who discussed the paths and challenges of watchmaking education in Portugal.

Tempo Futuro successfully highlighted the creativity and talent of the new generation of Portuguese watchmakers, promoting independent watch production outside conventional circuits and offering a direct platform for creators to showcase their work to the public.
