Swiss watchmaker Chronoswiss presents the Lunar Chronograph Aurora, an edition that combines mechanical tradition with contemporary design in a moon-phase chronograph of strong sculptural presence — now available in Portugal exclusively through Importempo, the brand’s local distributor.
Reference CH-7543L-DGR preserves the architecture that defined the Lunar Chronograph: a 41 mm stainless-steel case with screwed fluted bezel, onion crown, and sapphire crystal caseback. The construction alternates between polished and satin-finished surfaces, reinforcing the brand’s distinctive mechanical aesthetic.
The solid silver guilloché dial maintains the classic tricompax layout, with moon phases at 3 o’clock and a peripheral pointer date — a functional signature of Chronoswiss since the 1990s.

The Aurora Green as Identity Element
In this Aurora version, Chronoswiss introduces a dark green hue applied via CVD coating over the guilloché base, creating dynamic reflections under changing light. The result preserves traditional legibility — white Breguet-style numerals and hands — while adding contemporary chromatic depth.
The anthropomorphic moon, a historic hallmark of the brand, remains central within the 3 o’clock subdial, emphasizing the emotional dimension of the lunar complication — described by the manufacture itself as a symbol of the “natural rhythm of time.”
Proven Mechanics, Handcrafted Execution
At the heart of the Aurora beats the automatic calibre C.755, based on the Valjoux 7750 and equipped with an in-house moon phase and date module. It operates at 4 Hz, offering a 46-hour power reserve, 12-hour and 30-minute chronograph counters, small seconds, and analogue date.
Finishing includes perlage on the plates and Côtes de Genève on the rhodium-plated skeleton rotor, visible through the sapphire caseback — clear evidence of Chronoswiss’s commitment to artisanal finishing within a classically mechanical architecture.
Continuity as an Aesthetic Strategy
With a retail price of €10,800, the Lunar Chronograph Aurora positions itself as a chromatic reinterpretation of an established design rather than a technical overhaul. This approach embodies the brand’s stated philosophy: reinterpreting Swiss tradition through modern materials and design while preserving a continuous historical connection.
In a market that often equates innovation with unprecedented complexity, Chronoswiss offers another path — that of permanence. In the Aurora, heritage is not merely preserved; it is illuminated in green.
The Chronoswiss Lunar Chronograph Aurora is available worldwide through the brand’s authorized network and, in Portugal, exclusively via Importempo, further reinforcing the presence of independent Swiss watchmaking in the national luxury market.
